The Mustard-Seed Faith
Just like any other woman of her age, she woke up that morning feeling irritated, sick and nauseous. That was the sign for her monthly period and she couldn't wait for those four days to be over. But surprisingly; after the expected four to five days, the flow continued and extended to a month.
She started panicking, she told her friend who took her to a physician, all to no avail. The flow continued to a year, six years and above. She became lean, a shadow of herself, smelly and easily tired. Friends deserted her because no one wanted to contact the incurable ailment. Physicians made profit from her, they demanded so much and soon she spent all that she had; nothing was better but she rather grew worse.
With no money to spend anymore, she accepted her fate and lived with her cross. But one day, she heard there was a great physician in town called Christ who did all treatments for free. At first, she was hesitant to go to him but then she decided to try him.
She joined the crowd and touched his garment for she said in her heart, "if I may touch his clothes, I shall be whole". And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her plague.
The incurable ailment was cured by just a touch. The touch of faith that drew virtue out of Christ to the extent that even Christ was aware of the lost virtue. She got healed after twelve years by just a simple touch of faith - 'a mustard seed kind of faith'.
Sometimes when things aren't going well, all you need to do is to have faith in the wonder working power of God because your mustard-seed faith can move mountains.
After praying and working hard to better your life, you need to spice it up with a little faith so that everything can work out well.
Sometimes faith is not about everything turning okay, it is about being okay no matter how things turn out.
Faith is trusting God even when life doesn't make sense.
Shalom!!!
