Be Prepared Always

Tears streamed down her face as she read the mail again for the umpteenth time.
"Dear Miss Rita, we are sorry to inform you that you are not qualified for the job. You have the best result but no skill to show for it. Hence, we'll be forced to choose someone with a lower result and better technical skills"
Her hopes of being employed with this engineering company was gone again. She was the overall best graduating student in her set but she had no technical skills like her mates. She wasn't prepared for the opportunity.
Many of us are like Rita, we waste time on frivolities rather than develop ourselves in ways that will benefit us later. Opportunities pave way for success but when we are not prepared for the task ahead, there's no way we can succeed.
Nobody likes to be associated with a mediocre, develop yourself so as not to look like one when opportunities present themselves to you.
You can't say you studied education at school and not have any teaching experience.
There are various opportunities around, but you can't benefit from it when you don't have what it takes.
Endeavor to develop yourself so that you can out stand your peers when opportunities come.
Never let any opportunity meet you unprepared, be prepared always.
